The Story of Russell Turcotte-2
Turcotte's father, Bill
Turcotte, Havre, Mont., quit his
carpentry job and searched U.S. Highway 2
and Interstate
94 between Grand Forks and Wolf Point in July.
"Russell
wouldn't hurt anybody,"
Bill Turcotte said in an earlier interview.
"I can't
understand why anybody would hurt him." More
investigation : Hamre said his
department and the
North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation will
investigate Turcotte's death. The department
will try to find individuals
who knew Turcotte,
but it does not appear anyone in the Devils Lake area
knew him, he said.
Fonder said his department will assist the investigation
"in whatever capacity we can." The possibility that Turcotte was killed
elsewhere and his body was moved
to where it was discovered is a scenario
they will investigate,
Fonder said. Zhang reports on local and regional
news.

Hello again,
I found this in today's Grand Forks news. The other man in the river??
Search continues for Grafton man
The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department will
conduct a search today for a missing Grafton, N.D., man in the
Red River just north of Grand Forks.
A water rescue unit from the Sheriff's Department will carry out the
search near the North Forks Boat Landing for Martin J. Kliniske, 25,
who has been missing since Oct. 7, said Maj. Mike Fonder.
Kliniske's car was found near the river Oct. 8, and his shirt was found
on a rock nearby, police said.
Kliniske was scheduled to appear that day in U.S. District Court
for weapons possession charges, police said. A failure-to-appear warrant
was issued on him.
Last week, an aerial search was conducted, and officers in boats searched
the river, Fonder said. The searches were unsuccessful.
An underwater camera and possibly divers will be
used in today's search, he said.
It is unclear if Kliniske is a victim of the river.
An initial report said he may have left for Florida, police said.
Kliniske is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, with shaved
brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information is asked to
call the Grafton Police Department at (701) 352-1411
or the Grand Forks Police Department at 787-8000.
