North Adams ambulance has been serving the community since 1985. Gone through many EMT’s as well as ambulances, and still going strong.
NAAS has all three levels of Emergency Medical Technicians, including Basics, Intermediates, and Paramedics. The roster right now has 35 total EMT’s with 10 medics, 10 Intermediates & 15 basics.
We not only transport injured people to North Adams Regional hospital from the accident site. But, we take people from North Adams Regional and transport them to Berkshire Medical Center, Baystate, Albany, Southern Vermont Medical Center, and Boston.
Besides having fully certified EMT’s there is a chair van that runs from North Adams ambulance and transports patients that are not quite as ill.
