GILBERTOWN, Ala. Roy Edward Mazingo, a logger, died Sunday in an area hospital. He was 38.
The Alabama native resided in Gilbertown.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Kelley Mazingo of Gilbertown; one son, Roy Edward Mazingo II of Gilbertown; two daughters, Christina Mazingo and Rita Mazingo, both of Gilbertown; his mother, Easter Stafford Mazingo of Gilbertown; four brothers, Bob Mazingo and J.C. Mazingo, both of Gilbertown, D.C. Mazingo of Saraland and Fred Mazingo of Chatom; and two sisters, Charlene Adams and Charlotte Gibson, both of Gilbertown.

Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, Ala., with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Gilbertown.
