..George married my Mary Skinner, sometime before 1827. Her brother, Edward, was in my direct line and father to my gggrandfather who also married a Lucy Mozingo b. 1799. They migrated to Conecuh Co, Alabama. I do not have complete records of all whom those Skinner's married, but of what I have, 5 Skinners married Mozingo's in 2 generations. I did look to see if I had a William Mozingo in my records and do not find one. (Geoge and Mary Mozingo died and are buried in Choctaw Co, AL)...

... I think you may be right about Lucinda (Lucy) b. 1799 in SC, being the daughter of William Mozingo b.1775. Lucy married William Skinner b. 1796, Darlington Co, SC. William was the first son of Edward and his first wife Anna ? Anna died 1804-1805, and he married Nancy ? about 1805. Edward, Sr. & Nancy had five children, one of which was Anna Skinner b. 1814, married McKenzie Mozingo b. 1812. Does any of this help clarify as to whether my Lucy is William's daughter.... I've never really known where he fit into the family. After the death of William's father, Edward, Sr., they went to Conecuh Co, AL, and settled there permanently...Elizabeth Smyth in Mobile, Alabama emsmyth@@prodigy.net
