Robert "Bob" William Dunlap
Robert "Bob" William Dunlap, born July 24, 1923 in Livingston, CA
died August 4, 2001 at his home in Lynnwood, WA after struggling
with colon cancer for the past year.
He was born to Mabel and John Dunlap and attended and
graduated from Willcox Union High School, Willcox, AZ in 1941.
Bob served his country in both WWII and in Korea, first as an
Aviation Machinist with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre, and
then with the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Aircraft Mechanic during
the Korean Conflict. His career included working at the Sulfer
Springs Valley Cooperative and the Vic Shaver Construction
Company. He then joined the Boeing Company and was employed
for over 38 years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed both fresh and
saltwater fishing, golf, traveling, all types of woodworking, and
particularly old airplanes, as Bob spent a number of the years in
the Mediterranean and in the Middle Eastern countries as an
aircraft maintenance manager for the Boeing Co.
Bob is survived by his wife Evelyn; his son Robert William (Lynn)
Dunlap, Jr.; his step-children Wendy Langdale, Kerri Davis, Ken
Wolff, Scott Wolff and their spouses; step-grandchildren Briana
Langdale, Lisa Toburn and Isaac Wolff; his siblings Mary
Monzingo, Georgia Monzingo, Richard Dunlap and Beatrice
Barger.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Jean who
passed away in 1978, and his parents.
There will be no services at his request.
