Notes for Edward MOZINGO:

1810 Lenoir Co, NC, p 290, Mozingo, Edward; Males: 2 under 10 (b 1800-10)(Alexander?, Ivey?); 1->26-44 (b 1765-84)(Edward); Females: 1 under 10 (b 1800-10)(F1?); 1->16-25 (b 1784-1794) (Susan); 1->26-44 (b 1765-1784)(?).

1820 Lenoir Co, NC, p 294, Mozingo, Edward; Males: 1 under 10 (b 1810-20)(John C or Bennet?); 1-> 10-15 (b 1804-10)(Ivey?); 1->26-44 (b 1775-94)(Edward); Females: 3 under 10 (b 1810-20)(Anna d/o Sally?, F2?, Mahala?); 1->10-15 (b 1804-10)(F1); 1->26-44 (b 1775-1794)(Susan); 1 over 45 (b by 1775)(Sally?). [Gone: 1 male-1800-10, it's possible this one male isn't gone at all but that the boy was born in 1810 and straddled the line between the two censuses. If that's the case then there were only two males in Edward's household and one of them would have to be born in 1810, the other between 1804-10.]

1830 Wayne, NC, A. Whitfield District, p 511, Edward Mozings, Males: 1->15-19 (b 1810-15)(John C or Bennet?); 1->60-70 (b 1760-1770)(S/B Edward but age is off); Females: 1->under 5 (b 1825-30)(Betsey b 1825-9); 1->5-10 (b 1820-25) (Matilda b 1825); 1->10-15 (b 1815-20)(Mahala b 1820); 1->15-20 (b 1810-15)(F2?); 1->20-30 (b 1800-10)(F1?); 1->30-40 (b 1790-1800)(S/B Susan but age is off).
[Gone: 1 male->1800-10 (see above note), 1 male->1804-10 (Ivey?), 1 female (F3) 1810-20] The adults ages have to be off by 10 years or this is an entirely different family. My guess is that the census taker marked the wrong column and Edward should have been 50-60 which would have him born between 1770-80 and Susan should be 40-50 which would have her born between 1780-90 which would be consistent with the earlier entries and the 1860 census entry. Those ages would be consistent with the other entries from 1790 forward.

1840 Wayne, NC, Waynesborough District, p 213, MAZINGO SUSAN, Males: 1->20-30 (b 1810-20)(John C or Bennet?); Females: 1->5-10 (b 1830-35) (Nancy F); 1-> 10-15 (b 1825-30) (Jane); 2->15-20 (b 1820-25) (Betsey? b 1825-9, Matilda? b 1825); 1->20-30 (b 1810-20) (Mahala? b 1820); 1->40-50 (b 1790-1800) (Susan); Total 7.
