The following obituary appeared in The Jackson Sun, Section A, page 6, Thursday, October 31, 2002. I thought someone on the list might be able to use the info in it. Info in parenthesis were added by me.

JAMES M. (JIM) MOZINGO

MEDINA (TN), Services for James M. (Jim) Mozingo, 87, will be Friday, November 1, 2002 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Repogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with J. C. Thedford officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Gibson County (TN).

Mr. Mozingo died Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Clair (I think this should be Clara), Mississippi, son of the late Zackery Taylor Mozingo and Liza Davis Mozingo. He was the retired owner and operator of a welding and machine shop at his residence. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army and was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Lucy Browning Mozingo of Medina to whom he was married on May 22, 1960. He is also survived by two daughters, Macy Mack and husband Charlie of Lucedale, MS and Carolyn Hamilton and husband Ben of Elberta, AL; two step-children J.C. Thedford and wife, Joy of Medina and Patsy Rodgers and husband, Jerry of Medina; one sister, Annie Taylor of Waynesboro, MS; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with the family today from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
