Allen BURRIS was born abt. 1836 in IN. He married Mary Jane MOZINGO 18 December 1851 in Tipton Co, IN. He died aft. 1880. Mary Jane MOZINGO, daughter of Milton MOZINGO and Margarett COOPER , was born abt. 1833 in IN. She died bet. 1870 and 1880 in Hamilton Co, IN - (Prob.).

Thank you! I've already located Judith and have received a reply.
Based on the info on her web page we are in the same Mozingo line.
Mary Jane's father was Milton Mozingo and her mother was Margaret. I
found them in the 1850 tipton census but couldn't find any other

Subject: [MOZINGO] Mary Jane Mozingo
Hi All! I just found this e-group on my search engine and joined! I found
an e-mail message posted regarding a Judith Kemmer line and it
peaked my interest because my mother had just given me a probate docume
and it contained the name "Mabel Kemmer". Sure enough when I checked
the lineage my great great grandmother, Mary Jane Mozingo was in it.
Mary Jane married an Allen Joshua Burris in 1851 in Tipton, Indiana.
He died in 1863. They had a child, my great grandfather Joshua Jay Burrows born:10-23-1863. Mary Jane had 2 more children according to the document, Augusta Burrows and Myla Ann(Millis). My cousin
gave me a copy of a Devener Rio-Grande brakeman's certification dated
1891 with the name Allen W. Burrows. My cousin swears this was our
great great grandfather and won't hear anything else even though I
located the marriage license for Allen Joshua and Mary Jane(info out of
the family bible in Colorado with great Aunt Shirley). In any event,
she obviously had to have gotten re-married after Allen Joshua's
death. I can't find much information on Mary Jane after her marriage to
Allen Joshua although the probate document comes from Tipton County.
Does anyone have this Mozingo in their line? I would really appreciate any info Merry Christmas, Sherrie in Portland,Oregon
