Hello, my name is Linda Enge. I live in Tacoma, Washington. My mother's maiden name was Evelyn Levina Mozingo, from Wellsburg, West Virginia. My mother died at the age of 39 in 1977. Her father's name was Harry Mozingo from Wellsburg, West Virginia. (also past on) I found your name on some message board, and I hope you don't mind that I am trying to contact you. I am trying to find out about my family history on my mother's side, but I'm not having much luck. For many years my 3 brothers, and 1 sister believed that Wilbur Mozingo (Harry's brother) was our grandfather, but recently was told that Harry Mozingo was our grandfather. I would really like to find out the true history of my mother's family. Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time, Linda Enge

Hi I am still searching but I do know my family is from W. Virginia, mostly a small town named Wellsburg, near the Ohio river. My grandpa Wilbur married Katherine Griffith who was raised by the Bell family, so thats what she went by. they had 13 children and off the top of my head they are Robert Lee, my dad, Junior "Wilbur Jr", Richard, May "Katherine Jr", Evelyn, Vhelma, err I dont remeber the rest most of them died before I was born:( I know a couple died in infantsy. I will look and get back to you. My grandma died of cancer and so did my uncle Junior. I know my great grandfather was Sameul, although I dont know who he married. ... Something I can tell you we have in common, if I remember correctly you are looking for someone who was in the military, well my dad was in the army for about 35 years, including service in Germany during the Berlin chrisis, and 3 tours of duty in Vietnam before he was sent home with 2 purple hearts:) I also know a Jack Mozingo fought for the confederacy during the Civil War. BEATRICE MOZINGO--McKinleyville-- Beatrice Mozingo, 84, of McKinleyville, died
Tuesday, Decmeber 23, 1997, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born
on Aug. 15, 1913, in Ohio, a daughter of the late Mabel Gardner. In additoin to
her mother, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Gardner, and a
son. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Surviving are her husband,
Wilber M. Mozingo; two septsons, Robert Mozingo of Seattle and Richard Mozingo
of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Shirley DeVor of Mingo Junction, as special friend,
Beverly Webster of McKinleyville who helped take care of her and several
stepgrandchildren. Calling hours will be Friday at Chambers Funeral Home, 1130
Main St., Wellsburg, from 11 a.m. to time of services at 1 p.m. The Re
William Brown will officiate and burial will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in
Beech Bottom.
