... my Mozingo is Catherine "Caty" Mozingo, my ggggg-grandmother, who married John Masterson. Their son Guthridge was the father of two of my ggg-grandmas, Louisa Masterson m. James Gresham, and Mary Prudence Masterson m. Lewis P. Graves. Found in my research that my g-grandparents Lucius Gresham and Stella Francis Carroll were first cousins. I've been reading all your theories on the Mozingo name and there has been Indian and Portuguese mentioned a lot. I can tell you that my granddaddy, Audrey Gresham had features that could match either of these. He had coal black hair, dark eyes, long, pronounced nose, large lips, and high cheekbones. I have a picture of him at 18 and if you could put long black hair on him, he'd look like a handsome Indian brave! All of us Gresham descendants have inherited what we refer to as the "Gresham lips" and the high cheekbones. Also, I was wondering if having two different color eyes is a family trait...seems like a saw a posting from someone else about that at one time. Just wondering because I am a blond with hazel eyes with one that is 1/2 brown. Anyway, I'd be very appreciative for any information about Catherine. ... Gutheridge migrated to Union Parish, La., where my family is from. Lots of folks from Alabam migrated there at one time, and the place where they arrived is called Alabama Landing. My g-grandpa, Luke Gresham ran a little store and bait stand there for yrs. My mom Barbara said she has many fond memories of that place. ... Donna McDonald
