Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Wayne Monzingo, 71, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Ryan Horton, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Minden, officiating. A Masonic service will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today, April 5, at the funeral home.
Mr. Monzingo, a native of Minden and a resident of Haughton and Minden, passed away Wednesday, April 3, in Bossier City at his daughter�s home. He was retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. He was a past master of the Haughton Masonic Lodge 95, member of Scottish Rite and El Karubah Shrine, and Shadrack Unit of the Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aura and Myrtha Monzingo and brothers, Howard "Buddy" Monzingo and Jake Monzingo.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Billie Bolan Monzingo of Haughton; daughters, Mary Jo Duddy and husband Rick of Bossier City and Elaine McLain and husband Kevin of Haughton; sisters, Katherine Reeves of Minden, Mary Graham Mitchell and husband Don of Minden; brothers, Grigsby Monzingo and wife Peggy of Homer; grandchildren, Jake and Holly Beth Duddy and John Michael McLain; godchildren, Marti Grosjean, Leslie Stovall, and Blaine and Emily Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Chandler, Paul Carson, Don Crawford, Ernie Banks, Laddie Ulmer, Chuck Unsworth, Anthony Alexander and Charlie Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Builders Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church in Minden.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Scottish Rite Foundation or to the charity of the donor�s choice.
