...Edward P. Bozeman and Elizabeth Ann Ambrose Bozeman had one child--Edward Janetta Bozeman, (female, born 12/1857 in Bienville Parish, Louisiana). She called herself "Nettie". She grew up to marry George "Whitfield" Monzingo (approx 1875). They had 3 children Edward (Eddie) Bozeman Monzingo, male born 1876, Laura Monzingo who died at age 5 and Minnie Bell Monzingo, my great grandmother. George Whitfield's first marriage to Laura Peters produced 2 sons, William Henry born 1867 and Webb born 1869 and he died sometime between 1870 and 1875.

That's right--she wasn't Nettie Alexander or Annie Bozeman. Her name was Nettie Bozeman so Whitfield had 2 wives and not 3. Yvonne and I thought maybe there were 3 wives. I have a copy of a conveyance, dated 1876, where she says, "Let it be known that I Nettie Bozeman the wife of G. Whitfield Monzingo." The conveyance is for 80 acres that Whitfield was selling to John T. Boyt in Minden and is written in Houston County Texas...Sharon

Recording in an old family bible (in California -severely damaged) lists E. J. Hopkins died 1917. The aunt says this was Nettie...
