Carolyn Ulmer
Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Monzingo Ulmer, 69, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Minden with the Rev. Wayne DuBose, the Rev. Bill Crider and Dr. C.D. Miles officiating. Graveside services will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ulmer, a lifelong resident of Minden, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26. She fought a brave battle with ovarian cancer and passed away at her residence. She was born Nov. 24, 1934 and was a homemaker. She worked in the family business and was a member of First Baptist Church in Minden.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clotele Tinsley Monzingo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Laddie Ulmer; daughters, Deveda Moore and husband Al of Shreveport, Teresa Coplen and husband Mike of Monterey; son, Keith Ulmer and wife Kathie of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Kristy Stathamand husband Michael, Paul Coplen, Brandon, Blake and Emily Morales, Bryan and BrittanyUlmer; father, J.C. Monzingo of Minden; sister, Linda Dean and husband Larry of Homer; brother, John D. Monzingo and wife Madeline of Tulsa, Okla.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
