MUZINGO, ELIZABETH
Elizabeth Ellen Muzingo, 69, of North Platte, Neb., passed away Dec. 5, 2005, at Linden Court in North Platte. She was born June 20, 1936, in North Platte, to Homer and Naomi Olson Everley. She graduated from North Platte High School and the University of Nebraska, with graduate work at Western State Gunnison, Colorado and University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She taught school in Henderson, from 1956-1990. In 1959, she married Harold V. Muzingo, who passed away in 1976. She moved back to North Platte, Neb., in 1998. She was a lifelong Lutheran, a member of AAUW, American Association of Retired Persons, Alzheimer's Support, Diabetes Support, Retired Teachers, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Genealogy Society, Aid Association for Lutherans, Lutheran Brotherhood Fraternities and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. Her interests were painting oil landscapes and still life, playing the piano, and writing letters and a journal, and bible study. Survivors include her only child, Ronald Alan (Cheryl) Muzingo of Henderson; and six cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; husband; all aunts and uncles; and many cousins. A memorial has been established to the Messiah Lutheran Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, North Platte, Neb. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Reverend Eric Meissner officiating. Private family inurnment will be at the Plainview Cemetery in Maxwell. Those wishing to sign the register book, may do so from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11, at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Neb.
