Donald L. Muzingo, 75, Yukon, OK, passed away Thursday, January 26, 1999. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, at Choice Funeral Care Chapel, Yukon, OK; interment at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
Mr. Muzingo was born October 12, 1923, to John and Ada Muzingo. He married Mary Muzingo January 10, 1944, in Miami, FL. Donald served in the U.S. Navy from 1941-1961. He was active Navy for eight years and active reserve for the remainder of his career. He was involved in both WWII and the Korean Conflict. His last year in the service was at the Olathe Naval Air Station in Olathe, KS. He retired from active reserves with a rank of 1st class petty officer. He moved to Yukon, OK, in 1965. He was in the Fleet Reserve Association and attended Navy reunions quite regularly. Donald was a member of the NRA and enjoyed doing family research and genealogy. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Donald Muzingo Jr., John Muzingo and Robert Muzingo; daughter, Mary Martin; 10 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Muzingo; sister, Charlotte Hale; and two grandchildren.

MUZINGO Mary Katherine, 74, of Yukon, OK, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001 in Edmond, OK. She was born October 29, 1926 to Robert Murray Rogers and Lula Jane (Zink) Rogers. She married Donald L. Muzingo on January 11, 1944 in Miami, Florida. They traveled many years with the military before making permanent residence in Yukon, OK where they lived for 34 years. She worked outside the home, but her most important work was raising her children. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Martin, Mannford, OK; three sons, Don Muzingo, Jr., Oklahoma City, John Muzingo, Oklahoma City, and Robert Muzingo, Minco, OK; 10 grand children; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Helen Silhan, Miami, Florida; and brother, Robert Rogers, Lake Placid, Florida. A fu neral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Woodlawn North Cemetery in Coral Gables, Florida.

Donald L. Muzingo, Jr., 62, passed away April 29, 2007. He was born in Portsmouth, VA, on August 3, 1944, to Donald L. and Mary K. Muzingo. He graduated from Bethany High School in May of 1962. The following fall he went to Bethany Nazarene College earning over 100 hours credit towards a degree. His schooling was interrupted when he joined the Marines, in which he served two tours in Vietnam, in two different outfits: Marine Air Group 36 and Helicopter Squadron HMM 262. After being honorably discharged, he moved to Oklahoma City and went to work at Dayton Tire Company. He was a proud union member of Local USW #998 of Oklahoma City. He was very spiritually minded and was thankful to God even during hardship. Don was preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald, Sr. and Mary Muzingo; and one brother, William Roger Muzingo. He is survived by two brothers and their spouses, John and Gena Muzingo, and Robert and Judy Muzingo; and one sister and her husband, Mary and David Martin. He has numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to research Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis.
