Notes for Florence Ivy MOZINGO:
Divorced on 16 Jun 1947, Cause # 6396, Order Cook 89, page 596 with Judgment in Book 29, page 74. Vernon was not present and Florence was given custody of the 5 children with them being wards of the courts of Madison County, Indiana. She was not to marry for 2 years in the court order. Dan Quickel was her attorney.
On her marriage license she was listed as a store clerk and lived at 803 W. 5th St in Anderson. Her mother, Lucy was listed as living at 1634 W 16th St, in Anderson and she stated she was divorced in 1946 which was a lie to cover up the 2 year period. The Justice of the Peace, Albert George in the Citizens Bank Bldg. on Meridian St in Anderson married them.

Reportedly found in a bath tub unconscious. Taken to hospital 8 weeks later and died after 5 days with an "anuresym of the Circle of Wills"(brain artery rupture at the base of the skull where the artery separates to feed both lobes of the brain). Foul play was always suspected by her sister, Mildred Mozingo Williams. Her tombstone states "Florence Mozingo Dodson" in East Maplewood Cemetery and we believe was placed there by her sister and brother-in-law, the Williams. She is listed in the cemetery records under MIndianaKE.
