MAUD MONZINGO, 100, of Lawton, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at her home.
Services will be at 10:00 am Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Cramer, Retired United Methodist Pastor, Lawton officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.
She was born August 21, 1906 in Lawton, Oklahoma Territory, to Bathis Isaiah and Mamie (Carroll) Crouch. She married E.J. Monzingo on December 13, 1930 in Walters, Oklahoma. He died December 27, 1977. Mrs. Monzingo retired from Montgomery Ward. After her retirement she worked at The Vogue. She was also a volunteer at Southwestern Medical Center for 15 years, having served 6,120 hours. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Lawton Pioneer Club for ten years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three children, Ardena Clark of Moore, Oklahoma, Ed Monzingo and his wife Mary of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Shirley Miller and husband John Paul of Lawton, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, Cindy Wood and Rick, Brent Clark and Connie, Scott Clark and Diana, Michael Clark and Tina, Pat Clark, Julie Monzingo, Sidney Monzingo, Carter Monzingo, Janet Taylor and husband Randy, Pat Miller and T.C., Paul Miller; 14 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Pete Crouch.
