DARLINGTON - A graveside service for Norma Pitchford Mozingo Muldrow, 88, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, in Grove Hill Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Olin Whitener Jr. and directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home.

Mrs. Muldrow, formerly of Darlington and a resident of Presbyterian Home of Florence, died Friday, Feb. 11. She was born in Walhalla, a daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Norma Clinkscales Pitchford. She was a graduate of Lander College and moved to Darlington in 1938 to teach in the public schools. Mrs. Muldrow was appointed auditor of Darlington County in 1965 on the death of her first husband, and served for 16 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Darlington Presbyterian Church and the D.A.R. For many years, Mrs. Muldrow was the sponsor and the pianist for both the Darlington Lions Club and the Darlington Kiwanis Club. She was first married in 1940 to the late Wilbur Mozingo, who was auditor of Darlington County. After his death, she married F. Lowell Muldrow. Mrs. Muldrow was predeceased by her brother, C. W. Pitchford Jr. of Pottstown, Pa.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a step-daughter, Mrs. Ginger M. King of Hartsville.
