Hilma Lee Mozingo, 83, of 5346 Meadowbrook Road, Benson, died Thursday, Feb. 7, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.

Born Sept. 13, 1924, in Johnston County, Mrs. Mozingo was a daughter of the late Perry and Allie Creech Allen. She was the widow of Hubert Mozingo and Melvin Barefoot. Mrs. Mozingo was a homemaker and a member of New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The funeral will be at 6 p.m. today (Friday) at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 301 W. Main St., Benson. The Rev. Jeff Hayes and Steve Langston will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, Va.

Surviving are four sons, Billy Barefoot and Rudy Mozingo, both of Benson, Dennis Mozingo of Midlothian, Va., and Alvin Lowery of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Kay Lankey of Midlothian, Va., and Sheila Punturi of Princeton, W.Va.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorial contributions to New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 234 Newton Grove, N.C. 28366.
