EUPHALA J. KIRVEN

BOWMAN � Funeral services for Euphala Jordan Kirven, 92, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Bowman with the Rev. Dean Fox and the Rev. Gary Briden officiating, with burial in Bowman Cemetery, directed by Dukes�Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg.

Mrs. Kirven, widow of George Hecktor Kirven, died Monday, July 21, at Jolley Acres Healthcare Center. She was born in Lee County, a daughter of the late Clarence H. Jordan and Nancy Mazingo Jordan. Mrs. Kirven was a graduate of Antioch High School and attended Winthrop College. She retired from Benjamin's Department Store in Bowman as a salesperson and an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in the Esther Sunday School Class and the Ladies Missionary Circle.

Survivors are daughters, Iyone K. (John Robert) Weathers of Bowman and Nancy (Carl) Shelton of Orangeburg; sons, George H. (Patsy) Kirven Jr. , Phillip J. (Donna) Kirven and Donnie E. (Vivian) Kirven, all of Bowman; a brother and sisters�in�law, Howard and Frances Jordan and Virginia Jordan, all of Hartsville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great�grandchildren; three step�grandchildren and six step�great�grandchildren.
