Nora Mae Mazingo Floyd

Nora Mae Mazingo Floyd, 77, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at home. She was born August 23, 1926 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Adam and Alice Mazingo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny, son-in-law, John Bryant and granddaughter, Julie Parrish and former husband, James C. Floyd, Sr.

She is survived by seven daughters, Mary Ann Groah & husband Dale of Fairfield, Jeanne Parrish & husband Bobby of Elliston, Barbara Noel & husband Tony of Roanoke, Linda Bryant of Richmond, Sandra Parrish of Elliston, Angela (Chris) Hickson & husband Steven of Elliston, Sharon (Tee) Conner & husband Randy of Salem; one son, James C. Floyd, Jr. and wife Jo of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law Norman R. Floyd, Jr. & wife Shirley of Mineral Ridge, OH; brother-in-law Hunter M. Floyd of Lexington. Also left behind are cousins & dear friends, Bessie and Curtis Rowsey, 26 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 10 nephews, and five nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday, November 30, 2003 at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
