Elsie Winters
WINTERS, Elsie Louise DeGarmo, 68, of Wheeling, beloved wife of Norman Cecil Winters, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at her home.

She was born June 29, 1936, in West Liberty, W.Va., the daughter of the late Herbert and Jesse Mozingo DeGarmo. Mrs. Winters was a member of the West Liberty Christian Church; and a member of the President's Club of West Liberty State College. She was a Brownie Leader and was active with the youth activities at West Liberty Christian Church; she was an avid sports fan having especially enjoyed watching West Liberty College men's and women's basketball games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Joseph, James, and Leroy DeGarmo.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Cheryl Ridgely of Bozeman, Montana; four sisters, Leona Beck, Evelyn Smith and her husband, George, and Ruby Wilson, all of West Liberty, and Beatrice Dague and her husband, Albert of Valley Grove; four grandchildren, Robert Ridgely and his wife, Robin, of Indianapolis, Ind., Jennifer Torsleff and her husband, Chris, of Dallas, Texas, Mark Ridgely and his wife, Jeri, of Moundsville, W.Va., and Dana Crumm and her husband, Dave, of Pinehurst, N.C.

Friends will he received Friday, June 10, 2005, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling, where services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Dennis Arnold, officiating.

Interment in Prall Cemetery, West Liberty, W.Va.
