ROLAND H. MOZINGO Aug.13,1927-Feb. 1, 2007
MOUNT OLIVE -- Roland Henderson Mozingo, 79, 707 N.C. Highway 55 West, died Thursday.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a retired auto body repairman. He had been a member of the Mount Olive Lion's Club, the American Legion and First Christian Church of Mount Olive. Funeral services will be held by the graveside Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with the Rev. Doug Dexter officiating.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Mozingo Humphries of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Joseph Paul and Elizabeth Lynn Humphries; his companion, Margaret Hill of Mount Olive, along with her family; and two sisters, Mary Emma Thompson of Dudley, and Janet Rose Daughtry of Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jordan Mozingo; his parents, Roy P. and Ivey Malpass Mozingo; and two brothers, Roy Harold and Jesse William Mozingo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Church, 400 W. John St., Mount Olive, 28365.
