HENRY MOZINGO

The Rev. Henry Mozingo, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2007. Services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, March 19th at 2 p.m. at the Clement Keel Chapel. Henry was the son of Charles Edward and Sylvia Holder Mozingo of Walnut Bend. He had four brothers, four sisters, and 2 half-brothers. He married the love of his life, Lucille Trammell in September, 1934, in a double wedding with dear friends, Jess and Faye Walt.

Mr. Mozingo was a Baptist minister in the Cooke County region for over 52 years. He served as pastor at various Cooke County churches including, Bearhead, Callisburg, Calvary Baptist, (Gainesville), Marysville, Myra, Vilott and Custer City. He also owned service stations in his early years and had a furniture store in downtown Gainesville for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, brothers Edgar and Russell; sisters Ruby, Gladys and Ozelle, and half-brothers, Clarence and Charley.

He is survived by his two children, Kenneth Mozingo and wife Barbara of Gainesville; and Shirley Sexton and husband Emery of Denison. He has 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers, David Mozingo and Gilbert Mozingo of Callisburg; 1 sister, Effie Collins of Valllejo, California; and many nieces and nephews. His brothers, David and Gilbert, and nephew, Ray Mozingo of Walnut Bend have been a great support in his life in the later years, and always checked on him on a regular basis.

We would like to thank the caring nurses on the 300 hall of North Texas Medical Center, and the nursing staff at Renaissance Care Center for the loving care they gave him. Special thanks also to the wonderful staff of Cooke County Hospice for the wonderful care and support in the last weeks of his life.

He always set the highest example of Christianity, and was a wonderful influence for many. We will miss him so very much, but know now that he is in Heaven and has eternal peace.

GAINESVILLE, Texas -- Services for Lucille Trammell Monzingo were scheduled today at Clement-Keel Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville. Interment was a Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Monzingo died May 10, 1998. She was born March 23, 1917, at Walnut Bend, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Gainesville; a son, Kenneth, Ardmore; daughter, Shirley Baldwin, Sherman, Texas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
