Ruth Woodham

BISHOPVILLE -- Graveside services for Ruth Mozingo Woodham, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Savannah Advent Christian Cemetery. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is in charge. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at the residence.

Mrs. Woodham, widow of John Wesley Woodham, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Marvin and Eula Shirley Mozingo. She was owner and operator of Woodham Gin.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John Wesley "Wes" and Dianne Woodham Jr. of Bishopville; daughter and son-in-law, Floogie and Sid Kelley of Hartsville; brothers, Adolph P. Mozingo and Carol E. Mozingo, both of Bishopville; sister, Olivia M.
Mayer of Blythewood; grandchildren, Michelle W. Grantham of Bishopville, John Woodham III and Allison Woodham, both of Columbia, Beth K. Abernathy of Florence, Bert Kelley of Hartsville; great-grandchildren, Alston Grantham of Bishopville, Annie Abernathy of Florence.

Ruth married John Wesley "Wes" Woodham, son of Alston Wesley Woodham and Mamie Eliza Moore, on 26 Jul 1935 in Lee County. (John Wesley "Wes" Woodham was born on 8 Jan 1916, died on 19 Nov 1963 and was buried in Savannah Advent Christian Church Cemetery.)
