MARY M. BLACKWELL
BETHUNE � Funeral services for Mary Mozingo Blackwell, 72, were held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Harmony Baptist Church. The Revs. Homer Hinson, Charlotte Walters and Carl Watts officiated. Burial was in the McDonald Chapel Church Cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackwell, widow of Lawton Lovelle Blackwell Jr., died Monday, March 25. She was born in Lee County, a daughter of the late Edward T. and Mary Walters Mozingo. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Glenda Faye (Billy) Mangum and Mary Ann (Mack) Walters of Bethune, Marcia (James) Whitman of Heath Springs, Amy (Randall) Johnson and Miriam (Laverne) Brown of McBee; a son, Thurman (Judy) Blackwell of Hartsville; a brother, Jack Mozingo of McBee; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
