FRANKLIN BRAND
Services for Thomas Franklin Brand, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. The Revs. Jim Beck and Darryl Bogatay will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Brand, widower of Tiny Bell Mozingo Brand, died Thursday April 12. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Elliott Gray and Nellie Taylor Brand. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Darlington County DAV. He was retired from Reeves Brothers and also from farming, his true love.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie and Ann Brand, Ronnie and Rita Brand, all of Hartsville; bother, Hudson "Buster" Taylor of Bethune; sisters, Nellie Gray Beasley of Hartsville, Alice Catoe of Bethune; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
