DALTON, Ga. � Mrs. Carrie Hodge Mozingo, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at the Hamilton Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late James Hodge Sr. and Fannie Chapman Hodge and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayne Mozingo, in 1989; her daughter, Rita Mozingo Kirk in 2001; her sisters, Mamie Register, Sarah Middleton, Annie Bell Lee, Susannah Hicks and Evelyn Galloway; and her brother, James Hodge Jr.

Mrs. Mozingo is survived by her daughters and son�law, Shelby Jeanne Mozingo of Chatsworth, Ga., Elaine Mozingo and Jackie Phillips of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Alisa and Mike Ellenburg, Sidney Wayne Phillips, Rene and Alex Brogdon, Pam and Daniel Kendrick, all of Dalton; great�grandchildren, Blake Ellenburg, Brianne Kendrick and Taylor Brogdon, all of Dalton; sisters, Genevieve Sullivan, Katherine Holloman and Frances Odom, all of Hartsville; nieces and nephews also survive.

A private family service and burial took place in Whitefield Memorial Gardens, directed by Love Funeral Home of Dalton, Ga.
