Funeral services for Ruby Jordan Connell, 86, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bob Cline officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Brown�Pennington�Atkins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Connell died Tuesday, July 15, 2003. Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Nannie Mozingo Jordan Sr. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Dorcas Sunday School class, Golden Fellowship, Baptist Women, and Homebound Visitors. She was retired from J. L. Coker & Co.

Surviving are her son, Frank Sowell of Camden; daughters and sons�in�law, Ann and Woody Woodruff of Murrells Inlet, Patsy and Chip Auman of Hartsville; sister, Euphala Kirven of Bowman; brother and sisters�in�law, Howard and Frances Jordan, Virginia Jordan, all of Hartsville; 11 grandchildren; and nine great�grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Jordan and Richard Jordan, and her sister, Attis Melton.
