MARGIE WALKER

Margaret T. Walker, 81,of Redwater, Texas, died Sunday, August 21,2005, in a local hospital. Mrs.Walker was born December 12,1923, in Redwater. She was a homemaker and a member of Redwater United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth R. Walker of Redwater; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sherry and Bill Brittenham of Wake Village, Texas, and Mickey West of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Marsha Walker of Fairfax, Va.; one sister, Laverne Connor of Daingerfield, Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redwater United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Golden officiating. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Redwater Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 393, Redwater, Texas, 75573. Relatives will be at the family's home in Redwater. Note: Her mother, Myrtle Walraven Mozingo, died on July 29.

MARGIE WALKER December 12,1923- August 21,2005

Margaret "Margie" Terressa Walker, 81,of Redwater, Texas, passed from this life on Sunday, August 21,2005, in a local hospital. She was born December 12,1923, in Bowie County, TX to Darrell and Myrtle Mozingo. Her family lived in Water Valley, but moved to Redwater in 1940 due to the construction of Red River Arsenal. It was in Redwater that she met her forver love, Kenneth Ray Walker. They married in February 1945 and lived their lives in Redwater. During her lifetime she devoted herself to her family and friends, and they will cherish their memories of Mama, Aunt Margie, MeeMaw, and Mama Margie. Margie was preceaded in death by her parents; her baby daughter, Mary Nan; her sisters, Dossie Shuemaker and Flossie Smith; her brothers-in-law, Jessie Shuemaker and Harold Connor and her niece, Marilyn Collom. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Ray Walker of Redwater; her son and his wife, Keith and Marsha Walker of Fairfax, Va.; her daughter and her husband, Sherry and Bill Brittenham of Wake Village, and her daughter, Mickey West of Texarkana; her eight grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Sheri Brittenham of Cincinnati, OH, James "Jamie" and Miki Brittenham of Seaside, OR, Matt and Jennifer Brittenham of Texarkana, Shawna and David Gardziel of Bristow, VA.; Kris Walker of Woodbridge, VA, Nathan Walker of Fairfax, VA, Sean West of College Station and Shannon West of Texarkana; her nine great- grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kristie, Jordan, Zoey, Collin, Emma, Brett, Evan, and Kobi; her sister, Laverne Connor of Daingerfield; her brother-in-law, Chester Smith of Redwater; numerous other family members; her devoted caregivers, Mary Bailey, Sandra Smith, and Linda Edwards; and her beloved church family. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 24,2005, at Redwater United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Golden officiating.
