Martha Wilkes Dorriety

TIMMONSVILLE -- Martha Wilkes Dorriety, 87, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, in a Florence hospital. She was born in Darlington County a daughter of the late Lilburn O. and Myrtle Mozingo Wilkes. She was the wife of the late John Ervin Dorriety Jr.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Lake Swamp Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery directed by Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Lake Swamp Baptist Church, 6558 Oates Highway, Timmonsville, SC 29161.

Mrs. Dorriety was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church and the Joy Club. She had been employed as inspector at Young Pecan Co.

Surviving are two sons, Joey (Sherrill) Dorriety of Lamar and Mike (Ginny) Dorriety of Timmonsville; a daughter, Nita D. (Gary) Anderson of Hartsville; two brothers, Joe Mozingo (Sarah) Wilkes of Timmonsville and Thad Wilkes of Timmonsville; a sister, Celeste Carraway of Timmonsville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wilkes Dorriety.
