Obituary; Laurel Leader Call; October 26, 2004

Walter F. Beard, 72, of Ovett died Monday, Oct. 25, 2004, in Laurel.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Memory Chapel in Laurel.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Jones County.
Mr. Beard was a retired mechanic.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Ann Parker of Laurel; his brothers, Charles Beard of Mize and Larry Beard of Laurel; his sisters, Eula Grace Hannah and Elaine Hicks, both of Laurel; his grandchildren, Bronson Wade Michael Mizell, Jenifer Mizell and Angelia Eaton; and five great-grandchildren.
Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
