SCOTT ? Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Esther Mimbs, 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow at Foskey Cemetery. The Reverends Gerald Palmer and Roy Thompson will officiate. Mrs. Mimbs was born on June 25, 1932 in Fayetteville, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathleen Mozingo Raynor. She was retired from Forstman and Company. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bud Mimbs; a daughter, Nancy Sue Smith; and a grandson, Byron Scott Mimbs. She was a member of the Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Mimbs died early Tuesday morning at Fairview Park Hospital. Survivors include a son, Robert Mimbs of Milledgeville; a daughter, Deborah Chalker of East Dublin; three brothers, Richard Raynor of Fayetteville, N.C., Charles Raynor of Gainesville, Fla. and James Raynor of Fayetteville, N.C.; five sisters, Vicky Tew of Fayetteville, N.C., Margaret Feist of Charlotte, N.C., Betty Scott of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Peggy Bass of Fayetteville, N.C. and Jerry Powell of Fayetteville, N.C.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Brad Mimbs, Eric Mullis, Todd Mimbs, Homer Garnto, Mike Soles and Mike Keene. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 pm. at the funeral home.
