Carroll J. Williams

GOLDSBORO --Carroll John �C.J.� Williams, 66, died Saturday, November 26, at Wayne Memorial Hospital . Born in Wayne County , he was the son of the late Leslie Albert and Nettie Mozingo Williams. He was a farmer and former member of Arrington Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church , Woodman of the World and was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1974. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

A funeral service was held Monday evening, November 28, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Sasser and the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating. A private burial service was held at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, November 29.

Williams is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kelly Marshall and Kim Williams of Wake Forest; a daughter, Toni Lynn Williams of Clayton; six brothers, Leslie M. Williams of Spartanburg, SC, Jarvis M. Williams of Charleston, SC, Arthur C. �Art� Williams of Pineville, LA, Albert Williams Jr. of Dudley, Arnold R. Williams of Kenly, Maurice A. Williams of Roebuck, SC; four sisters, Pauline W. Shafer of Goldsboro, Mary Rachel Cox of Columbia, SC, Peggy A. Williams of Goldsboro, Sandra Faye Ivey of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kendyl and Kristen Williams all of Wake Forest.
