Christine Wirkkala May 01, 2007

Mrs. Christine Harris Wirkkala, age 68, died on Tuesday May 1, 2007 at her home in Claremont, NH surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Wirkkala was born August 23, 1938 in Pitt County, daughter of the late William Henry Harris and the late Irene Mozingo Harris. She was employed for many years as an operator here at National Spinning and after moving to New Hampshire continued in the same profession. On October 5, 1956, she married Aarni Wirkkala, Sr.
Survivors include: her husband, Aarni Wirkkala, Sr.; four daughters: Glenda Batense of Claremont; Georgia West of Claremont; Debora Dami of Gillmanton; Barbara Cannistraci of Claremont; two sons: Aarni Wirkkala, Jr. of Claremont; Alan Wirkkala of Claremont : one sister: Geraldine Nelson of Washington; one brother: Alton Ray Harris, Sr. and one sister-in-law: Dolous Harris of Pinetown. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Harvey Wayne Harris of Pinetown and William Earl Harris of Sanford, NC
She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as �Gram�. There are also nieces and nephews and cousins left behind to honor her memory.
