MASINGO, MR. SILLUS C. - age 71, of Sharps Chapel passed away 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Retired employee of the Tennessee Department of Forestry. Survivors: wife, Mattie L. (Ray) Masingo of Sharps Chapel; daughters, Francis Kistler of Kentucky, Kitty Sharp, Elizabeth Harrell, Mossie Miracle, and Terri Cabbage, all of Sharps Chapel; sons, Verlin Masingo of Alabama, Charles Masingo of Sharps Chapel, Steve Masingo of Kentucky, J. R. Masingo of Sharps Chapel, and Jack Masingo of Maynardville; 28 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Zen Masingo of Michigan; sister, Eula G. Masingo, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Blue Springs Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Pallbearers: Verlin, Charles, Steve, J. R., and Jack Masingo, and Ray Cabbage. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
