Fred Mozingo, 67, of Annapolis and previously of Severna Park for 26 years, died Feb. 24 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Mozingo was born May 24, 1938, and educated in Washington, D.C., and served in the Army and the Army Reserve. He was employed by G&K Services in Laurel.
His interests included cooking, fishing, the Washington Redskins and fixing anything.
Surviving are two daughters, Emily Guerrero of Naples, Fla., and Jessica Prudencio of Silver Spring; five brothers, Frank "Ike" Mozingo of Annapolis, Stanley Mozingo of Seaford, Del., Pete Blair of Odenton, Mike Blair of Pennsylvania and Eddie Coffelt of Florida; and six grandchildren. He was the son of the late Stanley Mozingo and Eleanor Adams Blair and the brother of the late Shirley Mozingo Curl.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight at Fleck Funeral Home, 7601 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, where services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Of Annapolis, MD, departed this life on Friday, February 24, 2006. Son of the late Eleanor Adams Blair, he was born May 24, 1938 in Washington, DC. Beloved father of Emily (Tino) Guerrero of Naples, FL and Jessica Prudencio of Silver Spring, MD. Fred was "Grampies" to six grandchildren, Sterling Prudencio, Lena and Broderick Plummer, all of Silver Spring, MD and Cole, Cullen and Camryn Guerrero, all of Naples, FL. Fred also leaves behind his brother, sister-in-law and best friends, Frank "Ike" and Sandra Mozingo of Annapolis, MD; nephew David (Lynn) Mozingo and great-niece, Jenna of Laurel, MD; niece, Debra Menocal, nephew, Michael Menocal and great-niece, Kimberly of Annapolis, MD. Also brother of Stanley Mozingo, Pete (Tina) Blair, Mike (Marcella) Blair, Eddie (Sandi) Coffelt and the late Shirley Mozingo Curl. Fred is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends. Fred was employed by G&K Services in Laurel. He served in the US Army Reserves and loved to talk about his days in the service. He was an excellent cook and a avid fisherman. He could fix anything and loved his Washington Redskins. He was a gentle and kind hearted man who loved and was loved dearly. He will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28 from 6 until 8 p.m. at FLECK FUNERAL HOME, 7601 Sandy Spring Rd., Laurel, MD, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
