MASINGO, DEIRDRE KAY EDENS age 40, of Sharps Chapel Native of New Tazewell passed away Saturday at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville. She was saved July 3, 1974 at age 10 at Durdre Baptist Church. Joined Little Seymore Church on July 21, 1974. She was employed by Tenn. Div. of Forestry of Sharps Chapel for the past 8 yrs. Preceded in death by grandmother, Onalee Hopkins grandfathers, Silas Hopkins and Clyde Edens mother in-law, Marie Masingo stepfather, Horace Fuson father in-law, Johnny Masingo great grandmother, Laura Seals Nancy Buell, Joe Charles Seals 3 uncles, Hence, Robert, Elisiba Seals 4 cousins, Doug Louthin, Robbie Hopkins, Wayne Seal, Christy Williams 2 brother in-laws, Gary and Johnny Masingo. Surviving: husband, Jerry Masingo 2 sons, Jessie and Jake Masingo mother, Dorothy father, Hoy Edens 2 sisters, Debbie Eden Clark and husband Kenny Clark of Sharps Chapel, Patricia Howard and husband Rick Howard of Morristown 2 brothers, Mark Edens and wife Charlene Edens of Harrogate, Hoy Edens Jr., Tazewell uncle, James Hopkins and wife Sharon Hopkins several aunts, cousins, nephews and lots of friends special friend, Nancy Steadman. Funeral 8 pm Tuesday, Cooke Chapel, Rev. Virgil Masingo, Rev. Tommy Louthan, Sr. officiating. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm prior to services, interment 11 am, Wednesday, Greer Cemetery, New Tazewell.
