CHESAPEAKE - Rosa Lee Heath, born Rosa Lee Mozingo, passed away May 11, 2009, in Seattle, after living there almost one year after moving from Chesapeake. She was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Norfolk, to the late James Robert and Rosa Lee (Big Rosa Lee) Mozingo in Princess Anne County. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert "Bobby" Mozingo.

Rosa graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and was a majorette. She completed two years of business college in Norfolk. After moving to Seattle, she began her career with the federal government. She was employed by the U.S. Coast Guard. She began her long tenure with the U.S. Dept. of Labor until her retirement. She had also been promoted as a regional supervisor.

Rosa was a member of St. Paul Church of God in Christ, Norfolk, for many years. She was a very faithful and dedicated member of the church.

Rosa leaves to cherish her memory two sons, William Butler (Beatrice) of Seattle and Angelo Butler (Teiahsha) of Oakland, Calif.; two grandchildren, Kamara and Sakari Butler.

Services will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 1615 Isaac St., Norfolk, with Dr. Wilbert L. Daniels Sr., pastor and officiant. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge.
