A liturgy of Christian burial will be said for Mary A. "Sally" Monzingo, 79, of Redding at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Redding. Monsignor Russell Terra of the church will officiate. Burial will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.

Mrs. Monzingo died Sunday, July 31, 1994, at her residence. Born Sept. 1, 1914, in Belfry, Mont., she moved to Shasta County in 1961 from Compton. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rivercity Jazz Society and Sons of Italy in Redding.

Survivors include husband Robert; sons William Peeler of Pacifica, Paul Coonradt and James Peeler, both of Chico, John Coonradt of Redding and Robert Monzingo Jr. of Fountain Valley; daughters Mary Velho of Powers, Ore., Betz Frederick of Phoenix, Ariz., and December Ellis of Whitmore; sister Ruth Peterson of Portland, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.
