He was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ann Griggs Mozingo of Hartsville, SC; brother, Edward (Nancy) Mozingo of Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Mozingo, widow of Gene Mozingo, died Saturday, April 25, 2009. Born in Hartsville, she was a daughter of the late L.D. and Florence Blockover Griggs. She was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church.

Surviving are her brother, the Rev. Robert L. (Myrna) Griggs of Hartsville; and a sister, Juanita Roberts of Florence.
