PEORIA - Leonard W. Crubaugh, 72, of 1517 W. Moss Ave. died at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Proctor Hospital. Born Aug. 13, 1929, in Peoria to Millard and Lura Roney Crubaugh, he married Beverly Gangloff on May 1, 1954, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark of Bartonville and Eric (and Theresa) of New Berlin, Wis.; two daughters, Cindy (and Chuck) Behrens and Kim Crubaugh, both of Peoria; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Millard ''Jerry'' (and Gerry) of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Gene (and Lida) of Westlake Village, Calif.
He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was employed in inventory control at Caterpillar Inc., where he worked for 43 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Third Degree Spalding Council 427 and Fourth Degree Spalding Assembly 206 and was past faithful navigator of the fourth degree. He was past grand knight of Knights of Columbus Spalding Council and currently was serving as financial secretary. He was a member of Bishop Sheen Degree Team and Alhambra, where he served as its past grand commander. He was awarded the State Knights of Columbus Medallion and Night of Knights. He bowled on the Knights of Columbus Bowling Team.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at his church. The Rev. Francis Gallagher will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with an Alhambra service at 7:15 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also will be 30 minutes before services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus Spalding Council 427 Building Fund or ANSWERS Pilot Program.
