Thank you, Doug for taking care of this. Judy Carolyn Driskell Shoemaker was born to Ople Monzingo and Joseph Judson Driskell here in Lovelady, Texas. She was married to Leon Shoemaker (they met while both were at Sam Houston State). Leon died about four years ago. They had two sons (Joel who is married to Tracy Lehr and they have one daughter--Sydney who is in 1st grade. Tracy is our LHS Spanish teacher. Byron the second son is getting married next Spring. Judy was my cousin and my best friend. She was very talented. She was in all of the plays at SHSU and at Texas Christian University. She at one time wrote script "Charlies's Angels". She died quite suddenly last night with either a major heart attack OR a blood clot to her lungs/the doctor told them a blood clot/ I tend to think it was a heart attack. She and her family had planned to come to the reunion next year. I want Joel and the rest of the family to come! How very fast time passes--I remember the day she was born, I sang at her wedding, and now I will try to sing at her funeral. Keep me on your good list! Love you all, Norma Dell
