Rev. Jerry Woods

Rev. Jerry Woods passed away Jan. 7 at St. Mary�s Hospice in Knoxville. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved going to church, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Valley Star Lodge and Royal Arch Hiram Chapter 212.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Marie Woods; sisters, Lorene Woods Hutchings and Gertie Jean Woods; brothers, Frank and Jimmy Woods; five grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Woods of Jacksboro; daughters and sons in law, Elaine and James Massengill of Lake City, Jennifer and Luther Troutt of Knoxville; sons and daughters in law, Tim and Cynthia Woods of Caryville, James and Kriss Woods of Seymore; son, Rev. Edward Woods of Jacksboro; 10 very special grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sisters: Hazel Eubanks of CA, Edna Mae Harcort, Dorothy Peck, and Ruby Woods all of Garden City, MI; step brother, Robbie Woods of LaFollette.

Funeral services and Masonic services were held Jan. 10 at the Indian Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Wilson and Rev. Bill Wilson officiating. Interment was in the Indian Creek Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
