Leta Partridge Pearson, 80, of Laurel, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with burial in Myrick Cemetery. Rev. Robby Johnson and Rev. Tim Lee will officiate. She was a homemaker and a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class until her health began to fail her. She loved the outdoors, loved her yard and flowers and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved life with her sense of humor and was willing to lend a helping hand. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Pearson; son, Henry Lee Pearson; and a daughter, Wren Pearson Read. She is survived by one son, Walter Pearson of Laurel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Aletha and Jerry McAndrew and Bonnie and James Gipson, all of Laurel; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lee George of Philadelphia, Miss., and Hazel George of Charleston, S.C.; a host of nieces and nephews and special friends, J.C. and Linda Jones. Pallbearers will be Jeremy McAndrew, Jason McAndrew, Scott Hinton, Rickey Barrett, James Allen and Stewart DuBose. Honorary Pallbearers will be Great Grandsons.
