... Vann stood up as witness for the son, Wm Henry Ward of my gr gr grandmother Susan Mozingo (b. 1803 N.C., dau. of Pierce) in Brooks Co. Ga., just 'up the road a piece from Vann' over the Georgia line. (Susan m. Lewis Ward of Lenoir Co., N.C.)... He and 3 of the 6 of my Susan Mozingo's sons, were all in the 3rd FL infantry, Co E together. The info on Vann provides a bit more info than I believe we had to date, tho we did have a small blurb on his military history on the Mozingo list before...
