GRANBURY - Richard Wilson Monzingo, 67, owner of Anchor Printing Co., died Wednesday,
March 24, 1999, in Granbury.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ Chapel, 3740 Birchman Ave., Fort Worth. Ted Kitchens, Ph.D.,
will officiate. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Noel Blair, Norman Higgins, Don Hudgins, Don Rawlins, Allan Werst and Harvey Whatley. Memorials: American Heart Association.
Richard Wilson Monzingo was born July 4, 1931, in Amarillo and had been a longtime resident of
Fort Worth. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1949 and was president of Anchor
Printing and Lithographing Co. from 1964 to 1993. He was past president of Fort Worth Chapter of
Printing Industries of America, a past member of the Jaycees, past member of the Kiwanis Club and
Tipps Club and a past deacon of Broadway Baptist Church. His interests included hunting, snow
skiing, golf and boating, but his most important interest in his life was his family.
Survivors: His wife, Cheryl Plumb Monzingo; children, Marc Wilson Monzingo and his wife, Susan
Elizabeth, Scott Monzingo and his wife, Lisa, Joni Gayle Von Drak and her husband, Danny, Colby
R. Monzingo and Kate Monzingo; grandchildren, Jennifer Monzingo, Amber Monzingo, Tristan
Monzingo, Kelsi Monzingo and Jonathon Monzingo; sister, Elizabeth Ann Rutherford; and
stepmother, Ora Marie Monzingo.
