Graveside services for Mrs. Lucille M. Bishop, 91, of Minden, were to be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Minden Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Ichter and Chaplain Stephen Murphy officiating.
Visitation was to be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday.
Bishop was born in Webster Parish and died on July 20, in Minden. She was a homemaker.
Bishop was a member of First Baptist Church for most of her life. The family sends special thanks to the staff at Meadowview Health and Rehab and to St. Joseph Hospice.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson Monzingo and Mary Ella Shaffer Monzingo; husband, John Ross Bishop; one son, Michael Ross Bishop; two sisters, Grace Monzingo and Mary Anderson; and six brothers, Arthur, Pervis, Earl, Aura, Cliff and Fred Monzingo.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Ima Lee Monzingo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or to Minden Cemetery Association.
