LOLA MAE JOHNSON MOZINGO

Lola Mae Johnson Mozingo, 95, of Bluegrass Road near Selma died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009. Born in Johnston County on Dec. 8, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Robert and Lula Creech Johnson. Her husband was the late Claude Mozingo. She was also preceded in death by four sons, Ralph Mozingo, Harold Mozingo, Rudolph Mozingo and Bobby Gold Mozingo.

She was a longtime member of Carter�s Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 17 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.

Surviving are her sons, Billy Ray Mozingo and wife Sue of Selma, Robert Wayne Mozingo and wife Bridget of Selma, and Charles R. Mozingo and wife Janet of Smithfield; daughter, Louise M. Holloman and husband Ray of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Edna Earle Mozingo Grabol of Raleigh; sister, Leona J. Brown of Winterville; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Carter�s Chapel Baptist Church, 3644 Old Beulah Road, Selma, NC 27576.
