John Paul Mozingo March 18, 1917 - July 8, 2008

John Paul Mozingo, 91, resident of Spring Arbor of Wilson, formerly of Lucama, died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. DeWayne Eakes and the Rev. Frank Harrison will officiate.

Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a successful farmer in Wilson County and a member of Little Rock FWB Church.

Mr. Mozingo is survived by his wife, Virginia Lucas Mozingo; two daughters, Doris M. West and husband, Bobby, and Cathy M. Boyette, all of Wilson; four grandsons, Bobby R. West Jr. and wife, Anna, of Zebulon, Stephen M. West of Raleigh, Brent Boyette and wife, Wray, of Wilson, and Dana Boyette of Raleigh; four great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine and Jack Boyette of Wilson and Lucas and Stella West of Zebulon; and two sisters, Audrey Worley and Mattie Rose Worley, both of Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mattie Batten Mozingo; three brothers, Roy Mozingo, Ernest Mozingo, and Clyde Mozingo.

The family will receive friends 6:30-9 p.m. today at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and at other times at 3306 Jennings Farm Drive, Wilson.

Virginia Mozingo Nov. 30, 1916 -- Dec. 21, 2008

LUCAMA -- Virginia Lucas Mozingo passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Wilson Medical Center on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, with visitation immediately following. The Rev. De Wayne Eakes will officiate. A private graveside will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park.

She was a long-time member of Little Rock FWB Church, Lucama. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her warmth, loving and caring nature, and kindness to all those she met.

Mrs. Mozingo is survived by two daughters, Doris M. West and husband, Bobby, and Cathy Boyette Saieed and husband, Tom, all of Wilson; four grandsons, Bob West and wife, Anna, of Zebulon, Stephen West of Raleigh, Brent Boyette and wife, Wray, of Wilson, and Dana Boyette of Raleigh; four great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine Boyette, Jack Boyette, Lucas R. West, and Stella West; a sister, Charlotte Price of Raleigh; and a brother, James Earl Lucas and wife, Thelma, of Lucama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Mozingo; parents, Allison Ambrose and Cassie Lamm Lucas, two sisters, Emma Locko and Olive Gray Jones; and two brothers, Everette Lucas and Ambrose Lucas Jr.
